Do more with less. Corporate “Karen” has it half-right.

But here’s the truth: there’s no version where she’s right without one thing — ownership.

When I was running my $100k/month construction company, the moments we truly innovated were when cash flow was light. Every single time, across multiple portfolio companies, the pattern was the same: the more they had, the more was wasted — to a disgusting level. Spending $3k on a name tag? Dude, wtf.

Creativity is building something from nothing. Scarcity forces it. But here’s the catch — you can’t expect that level of creativity and sacrifice without offering equal incentives in return.

My ability to code and build software on real platforms came only because I couldn’t find a vetted CTO for my YC application for Harbor Cold Chain. Scarcity forced me to learn like my life depended on it. Even though that business failed — scarcity produced 100x results.

So remember: play the game, because playing the game is the END.

Scarcity is not the end — it’s the continuation. It’s about doing the best with the cards you have, being creative with what’s in your hands, and moving forward anyway.
